BumbleBerry Pie

Ingredients:

crust for a 2-crust 9″ pie
1 quart blackberries or black raspberries
1 t cinnamon
1/2 t nutmeg
1/2 t ground cloves
1/3 C lemon juice
3/4 C sugar
2 T butter or margarine (approx)

Procedures:

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F

2. Combine berries, spices, sugar, and lemon juice

3. Roll out bottom crust, pour in berry mixture, dot with butter

4. Roll out top crust, put over pie and seal carefully, prick the top center (I do a small star pattern with a fork)

5. Bake for 15 min at 425 degrees, lower heat to 350 degrees, and bake for 35 - 40 more min. until crust is lightly browned
