To obtain an account on
CauldronMUX you must meet the following requirements:
- You must be a Full Member of this message board (see How To Become a Full Member for information on how to qualify) or have at least 25 messages on this board and convince the Co-Hosts or MUX Wizards that you need and can handle a CauldronMUX account.
- The email address you have your message board account set to in Settings MUST be a real address that you can access as your CauldronMUX password will be sent to that account.
If you are not familiar with a MUX, please connect as a guest a few times to be sure you are interested before asking for an account. (Thanks!)
DO NOT REQUEST AN ACCOUNT IN THIS THREAD -- ALL SUCH REQUESTS WILL BE IGNORED. Instead, apply via email sent via this message board by following this procedure:
To apply for an account, click on the email link (looks like a letter) in the Author info area to the immediate left of this message.
Be sure you are sending an email, not a personal message. This will bring up an email window. Type "MUX Account Request" in the subject line. In the body of the email, simply state that you will follow all of The Cauldron's rules and ask for an account on CauldronMUX. Please give the name you would like used for the account. (You may give a second choice, if you wish, just in case your first choice is taken). Send the email.
Our wizards will create your account and reply to your email with your password -- this is why it is important to check to be sure your email address in our records is correct and active before sending in your request as this is the email address that will be given to the wizards.
Although we aim for a 48 hour account creation turnaround, accounts can sometimes take several days to a week to create -- sometimes even longer. Our wizards are volunteers and their work, school, family, etc. all come first. You can continue to connect to CauldronMUX as a guest until your account is created, however.
