The Cauldron: A Pagan Forum is an interfaith discussion and debate forum. Anyone of any religion (or no religion) is welcome to post here so long as they follow the forum rules. The Cauldron expects its members to be tolerant of the religious beliefs of others. This means we expect you to respect the right of others to the religious beliefs and practices of their choice. This does not mean that you have to agree with those beliefs, that you cannot argue politely that factual statements being presented as "beliefs" are incorrect, or that you cannot politely state that you believe certain other beliefs are simply wrong. It is certainly not intolerant to ask someone for the sources of their information. It is, however, intolerant to belittle the sincere religious beliefs of other members.

If you are one of the many Pagans who has problems with Christianity, please understand that this forum has Christian members and a Christian theologian on staff. The rule against blanket condemnation of other religions does apply to Christianity. After all, most of the world's two billion Christians aren't raving fundies out to force their Bible down your throat -- no matter how much it may seem like the fundies are the majority of Christianity if you live in certain parts of the United States -- and they should not be treated as if they were. Generic Christian bashing is no more welcome here than generic Pagan bashing is. If this bothers you, The Cauldron: A Pagan Forum's community areas might not be the place for you.
