I've heard isfet did X. And X was a horrible, terrible thing. Which is true.
But isfet didn't do it.
Isfet is a force outside of creation.
Hurricanes aren't caused by It. Floods. Tornadoes. Forest Fires. That belongs to Set. Earthquakes belong to Geb and is said to be His laughter.
While all of that is horrifying in the aftermath, it is still a part of nature. And nature is within Creation.
And nature isn't cuddly or kind. Neither are the Netjeru.
Isfet destroys needlessly.
Isfet isn't Satan and shouldn't be treated as the scapegoat for all evil in the world.
Yes, it is terrible. Yes, it is heart wrenching.
But isfet didn't do it.
Isfet (Greek is Apophis or Apep) is a serpent and tries to destroy creation every night by fighting Ra and the other Netjeru. Isfet is Uncreation; it is the process of being unmade. Aset disempowers it. Set kills it. Ra is triumphant.
