Here are some recipes for oils, perfumes, and bath for Lammas. Some of these are special blends just for this festival while others are general summertime, zodiac and sunshine blends.

Cerridwen Oil #1

Ingredients:
    3.5 ml hazelnut oil
    3.5 ml fir oil
    3.5 ml elder oil

Warm all ingredients in an enamel pan on low heat. Allow to cool and place in bottles or jars in the color of the rainbows. Use alone or as a binder in making Lughnasadh Incense and Lughnasadh Philtre (see Lammas Incense and Philtres)

Cerridwen Oil # 2

In a base of Hazelnut oil add:
    1/2 dram Elder oil
    1/8 dram pine oil
    1 snowflake Obsidian chip
    1 hazelnut
    Elder flowers

Mix well and bottle. Use in Lughnasadh/Lammas rituals or when invoking Cerridwen.

Cerridwen Oil #3

Ingredients:
    sandalwood oil (main)
    rose (main)
    jasmine (minor)
    orange (minor)
    patchouli (minor)
    civet (minor)
    camphor (trace)

Mix well according to personal taste and bottle. Use in Lughnasadh/Lammas rituals or when invoking Cerridwen.

Fortuna Oil

To a glass bottle add the following:
    One part frankincense absolute oil
    One part lemon essential oil
    Two parts lavender essence
One eighth part citronella essential oil
A few whole aniseeds or saffron threads to the bottle
Eight parts light mineral oil as a base

Fortuna Oil is especially good for anointing lucky charms, and yellow and orange lucky candles. Since Orange and yellow are the colors of Lammas-tide, this oil would be nice to use during Lammas rites, especially those asking for prosperity in future harvests or in life. Also, Fortuna Oil is also said to dispose the energies of luck in your favor when rubbed on the palms of the hands before playing bingo, or other games of chance. A typical Puerto Rican practice is to buy a lottery ticket and place it beneath a candlestick holding a dripless yellow candle anointed with this oil. The candles should be held in the hand and anointed from the middle of the shaft to the top and then from the middle to the base, as this symbolically addresses the wish for luck to heaven and then to the energies manifestation on earth.

Golden Lion Oil

Ingredients:
    3 parts Frankincense
    3 parts Petitgrain
    2 parts Lime
    1 parts Sweet Orange

Mix the above into 1/8 cup carrier oil such as jojoba, apricot, grapeseed, almond, etc. Good to use at Lammas or in August, since it combines Leo and Sun energies.

Lammas Oil #1

Ingredients:
    2 parts lime oil
    2 parts cinnamon oil
    2 parts sandalwood oil
    1 part clove oil
    1 part frankincense oil

Lammas Oil #2

Ingredients:
    1/4 dram thyme oil
    1/2 dram cinnamon oil
    1/4 dram rose oil
    1/2 dram gardenia oil
    2 - 3 drops allspice oil

Mix well and bottle. Use in Lughnasadh/Lammas rituals.

Lammas Oil #3

    2 tsp. wheat germ oil
    6 drops frankincense oil
    2 drops clary sage oil
    1 drop rose oil

Leo Oil #1

To 2 ounces of base oil add 2 tablespoons of any of the following herbs: red sandalwood, frankincense, camphor, cassia, clove, goldenrod, greater celandine, eyebright, goats rue, chamomile, sunflower. Steep one moon cycle or for 12 - 24 hrs. on low in a slow cooker. If stronger scent is desired, remove herbs and repeat. Crack in 2 vitamin E capsules if preservative is desired. This is a good oil to use in rituals done during the zodiac sign of Leo.

Leo Oil #2

Ingredients:
    3 drops Petitgrain
    1 drop Orange
    1 drop Lime
