Aradia, or The Gospel of the Witches

Aradia, or The Gospel of Witches was written by Charles G. Leland in 1890. It purports to document Italian rural Witchcraft practices. Modern folklorists and anthropologists are, given Leland's methodology, quite skeptical. It is, unfortunately, still quite popular in some segments of the Neo-Pagan community and parts of Aradia have been adapted into some modern Wicca rituals. The copyright on it expired years ago. This is an HTMLized version of a text file Aradia I found on an ftp site in 1997.
