1 cup unsifted flour Cheese Mixture:
12 oz cream cheese Directions Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 9 x 12 pan For the chocolate mixture: Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. Melt together butter and chocolate and set aside to cool. Beat eggs until foamy. Add sugar and vanilla and beat on high for 3-4 minutes. Then on low, add chocolate mixture and dry ingredients. Mix well. Remove and set aside about 1 1/2 cups of this mixture. Add nuts to remaining mixture and spread into the prepared pan. For the cheese mixture: Beat together butter and cream cheese until soft and smooth. Add vanilla and sugar and beat well. Add eggs and beat again until smooth. Pour over chocolate layer. Then drop big spoonfuls of the reserved chocolate mixture over the cream cheese mixture and swirl with a knife to marbleize. Bake 40-45 minutes. Cool completely. Cut into squares and refrigerate. |
