I've tended to stick to books personally.  Kraig's 'Modern Magick' is a great primer for ceremonial magick, which helps to understand some of the concepts that Carroll uses.  I recently read a collection of Spare's writings - but while certainly interesting, Spare's method doesn't hold that many similarities with what Chaos magick has become.

To be honest, Chaos magic is something that has to be done.  If you have access to Liber Null, you can try out the MMM syllabus, or experiment with paradigm shifting etc.  After all, it's a practical school of magic, with less emphasis on theory compared with most paths.  (after all, if it isn't objectively true, and there are other theories available...).  Reading up on other magical paths is worth doing, as it gives you experience of seperating out disparate ideas.  (ie: in ceremonial magic, there's always a banishing.  In other paths there is not considered to be a need for banishing.)

It's also worth re-visiting what you've read previously, now and then, to see what new understanding you've gained (and also to get ideas for experimentation).  Try doing stuff and see what happens. Smiley
yah thanks a lot! Cheesy
