Not Randall, but:  I believe we've got more than one leader in other SIGs, so I wouldn't think it would be a problem.  Smiley

We've got three over at the Cill.  Shocked

I count eight people there (including HB and SatAset) who have expressed an interest in an Asatru/Heathenry SIG in that thread.  I've asked them to post in over here as well.

Interested! Smiley

So far, I'm not sure the interest is there, so those interested do need to post in on this thread.

I'm very interested.

I know I have someone in mind, but I think that it would be best to let her volunteer.

If you can think of someone more qualified, definitely bring it up. I'm still a newbie around here after all and you guys have a better vantage point of who could do a good job running this thing. Smiley

Definitely interested.

Is there a way to have more than one SIG leader-type person? I'd be more than happy to help make sure this SIG runs smoothly, but I've started up college again and help would be most appreciated. Smiley
Well, I'm in college too and therefore strapped for time for the same reason... but I'd think between the two of us we could manage? lol.

Not sure what all is involved, but I'll step up. Smiley Smiley

If I'm NOT who you had in mind... oops. lol.

Basically, you would need to monitor the SIG and enforce minor rules such as quoting and making sure a fight doesn't break out.

I'm bumping this here, as it came up on another thread. Can we reevaluate this possibly? AL is all fine and good... but it's not TC.

I'm interested.  I really like AL, but wouldn't mind seeing something here.

Just chiming in to say that, as always, I'm happy to help in any way possible.   Smiley

Randall, please let me know if there's anything I can do to help make this happen.

Find possible SIG leaders? With any luck (translation -- if donations continue at today's rate), I may be make in "ability to update the web site" business by sometime next week.

However, if there is enough interest, we will do one. So far, I'm not sure the interest is there, so those interested do need to post in on this thread.
<raises hand>

I've long wished we had one, since Ta Hiera, Hazel & Oak, and the Kemetic SIG are very helpful to me in making sure my eclecticism is historically-informed - I haven't mentioned it because AL was there for those who were specifically Heathen.  I've often considered joining AL, but I really don't have enough time for another whole forum given that I'm not Heathen per se.  So I'm very happy about this development.

I probably should take this time to raise my hand as well for the reasons that Sunflower said.

Announcement:

It looks like there is enough interest for this this time around. So setting up an Asatru/Heathenry SIG will be one of my first orders of business once a new computer is here and setup.
