What are your goals for Autumn/Spring 2009?  Share them here!

How this thing works:
1. Post your list of goals to be accomplished during the fall (spring if you're south of the equator).
2. After the Equinox, periodically post updates and progress reports on this thread.
3. I'll give progress updates for the entire group every week or two.
4. The fun ends on the last day of the season, when we'll start a new thread and whole new lists.
5. Most important: Have fun and don't get too stressed!

Post your lists now and remember to update them after September 22nd.

Good Luck!  Smiley

Let's see...

School, Work and Other Unpleasantness
1. Do well in school
2. Finish the book I have to read for history class by Thanksgiving
3. Find a job
4. Try not to have anything turned off

Creative Goals
1. TRY to get at least 12.5K in NaNoWriMo
2. Write more short stories -- Taking a creative writing class.  The only reason I'm including this goal is because I want one that I can win

Mental and Physical Health Goals
1. Try to fit in a book unrelated to class somehow -- This time it will probably be a collection of short stories
2. Take a local ghost tour in October.
3. Try to figure out why I'm so out of it recently
3. Get away with murder

Mmmm goals. Let's see (I apoligize if this is ramblish or mixed up).

-First and foremost, I'd like to keep my job. But beyond that, I'd like to help my company become more noticed and become an integral part of the team. I also want me and my so to move back into full time work at higher wages.
-I'd like to get nice furniture for my house/apt.
-I'd like to update my wardrobe.
-I'd like to get closer to my religion.
-I'd like the creative juices to flow freely so that I can do better at my job.

All in all, I think that's it- pretty simple stuff, but really important to me.

1. Wardrobe - I need to update my work wardrobe since I'm cycling thru the same two pairs of pants and four shirts.

2. Boxes - Continuing on my unboxing quest.

3. Exercise - 3-4 times a week.  Taking a walk, Wii-fit, yoga, whatever.  Just something.

4. Kitchen - 1 maybe 2, fancy meals a week.  Otherwise known as not spaghetti and hopefully with meat.

5. Work - Keeping my job and not killing anyone.

6. Christmas - Start banging out the homemade gifts for christmas for the family.  And start picking up a gift card a payday.

I might add or subtract from this, we'll see.  But it's a start.  Smiley

What a good idea this is....thanks!

Personal Habits--quit procrastinating.   Hmmmm.....need to make that specific to be effective.....how about no computer time after 5:30 a.m. unless I've exercised and completed daily household chores.  ugggggggggggggggggggggg.........

Health Habits
1.  Aerobic exercise 4x per week.
2.  Weight bearing workout 3x per week.
3.  Lose at least 1 lb. per week.

Miscellaneous
1.  Groom JessieCat at least twice per week.
2.  Clean out storage area and donate what I do not need (no "maybe someday").

Yikes...that's about as much virtue as I can manage.......

What's sad is I read that list when it was first posted, and the murder thing didn't even trip my radar... I don't know if that makes me a bad reader, or quite morbid.

1. Win Nanowrimo.
2. Submit Snowbound to the contest.
3. Keep work-out regime going steady.
4. Get A's in all my classes.
5. Budget my time better.
6. Budget my money better.
7. Don't actually kill anyone (maiming is allowed).

Goals: 7

Trying to keep it manageable. I'll be surprised if I actually get all that accomplished. This semester is crazy for me.

Good Luck!  Smiley

Religious Stuff

1: Figure out which direction I'm moving in.
2: Create a Samhain ritual.
3: Create a Yule ritual.

House Stuff

1: Repair bathroom floor.
2: Do final bits of wood stove installation.
3: Winterize house.
a: windows
b: doors
c: vents

Health Stuff

1: Keep up with the yoga.
2: Find solutions for my skin condition that work.
3: Start taking supplements again as required.

Creative Stuff

1: Do a "stained glass" design on the window next to the wood stove, since the interior window treatment has to come down for the winter. (add a curtain between the panes for added privacy)
2: Paint "fire wall" for behind the wood stove with Tree of Life.
3: Finish quilt.
4: Reupholster desk chair, Parson's chairs and hassock.

13 goals.

Blergh... where's the year gone?

1. Pass my classes.

2. Lose the last 12 pounds that will put me into the "healthy" weight range.

3. Go to the gym at least 3 times a week.

4. Finish getting the new place in some order... chaos reigns atm.

5. Get license and tag and hopefully fill the freezer with venison.

I think that might be all I can handle this season. Starting school after 20+ years is going to be trying enough!

What are your goals for Autumn/Spring 2009?  Share them here!

Here we go...

Fitness
1.  Do 15 sessions with 10-Minute Solutions Fitness Ball DVD.--I've got a head start, I'm already up to 7.
2.  Complete 6 weeks of new exercise schedule.--The new schedule is 20 min 6 nights/week (resting Friday), alternating cardio with strength training and adding a little extra on Mondays and Tuesdays.  A "week" is defined here as Monday through Sunday, to coincide with my goal update schedule.  The six weeks do not have to be six consecutive weeks; the idea is to get six complete weeks over the course of the season.

As always, I'll add to this section as I cycle through DVDs and such.  If goal #2 proves to be easier than I think it will be, I'll revise that to a higher number.

Writing
1.  Finish filling in backstory for Nia before November 1.--In preparation for #2.
2.  Reach 50K and a finished draft in NaNoWriMo.--Hey, look, it's that time of year again.  Last year I made the wordcount but didn't finish a draft.  This year my goal is a finished draft.
3.  Decide whether to continue work on last year's NaNoWriMo project, and if so, set goals accordingly.

Fun Stuff
1.  Learn to play one song on the guitar.--Which is really "learn to play the guitar", but I needed something a little more definite than that.  "One song" here doesn't have to be complex; it can be some silly little kids' song.  Hey, Natalie will like it, if nothing else.
2.  Watch Buffy though "Once More With Feeling"--Which is actually even slightly short of last season's goal, but I'm spending less time watching it lately, between the quickly-declining quality and the other stuff I'm trying to do.  Add NaNo?  Yeah, I'm just shooting for about one episode a week.

Again, both goals subject to revision if they turn out to be too easy.

Total Goals:  7
Complete:  0 (0%)

No Devo, neither. It didn't tip my radar, either, it's more of a "oh, it's about time" kinda thing.
