Religious Stuff

1: Figure out which direction I'm moving in.
2: Create a Samhain ritual.
3: Create a Yule ritual.

House Stuff

1: Repair bathroom floor.
2: Do final bits of wood stove installation.Firewall painting is done- final installation should be this week, when we can take the AC out of the window.
3: Winterize house.
a: windows
b: doors
c: vents

Health Stuff

1: Keep up with the yoga.
2: Find solutions for my skin condition that work.
3: Start taking supplements again as required.
4: Go riding as often as physically possible.

Creative Stuff

1: Do a "stained glass" design on the window next to the wood stove, since the interior window treatment has to come down for the winter. (add a curtain between the panes for added privacy)
2: Paint "fire wall" for behind the wood stove with Tree of Life.   Done!  I may or may not, and probably not, add more detail.  Next year, perhaps.  I am currently very happy with the finished painting.
3: Finish quilt.
4: Reupholster desk chair, Parson's chairs and hassock.

13 goals.
Let's change that, because I'm adding a goal or three...

Work

1: Find a job I can physically do and do it.  I'm thinking 20 hours a week to start would be good.
2: Talk to Bill about volunteering to work with the therapy riding for the disabled project.
3: Begin gathering up equine gear with intent of buying a horse next spring.
a. saddles (Western pleasure/trail for Gen, English pleasure for myself.)
b. bits and bridles
c. halters
d. longe rope and whip
e. riding crop, helmet and both summer and winter weight riding attire. (Western for Gen, English for myself)
d. rakes, brushes, combs, etc. for coat and mane and tail care.
e. 4-6 saddle blankets

17 goals
f. anything else I think of that isn't already listed, feed buckets, hay racks, etc.

2.  Watch Buffy though "Once More With Feeling"--I'm one episode closer now.

Every time I read this I get the score to that episode stuck my head.  Really I don't want to explain to anyone why I'm humming "They got the mustard out."  Cheesy

-First and foremost, I'd like to keep my job. But beyond that, I'd like to help my company become more noticed and become an integral part of the team. I also want me and my so to move back into full time work at higher wages.
-I'd like to get nice furniture for my house/apt.
-I'd like to update my wardrobe.
-I'd like to get closer to my religion.
-I'd like the creative juices to flow freely so that I can do better at my job.

I didn't add these goals to this online form (I forgot). But my other goals not listed were to eat at home more often, and to eat more produce, and less processed food items. So far, this goal has come the farthest. I've had produce with almost every meal. And save for a few mess ups,I've eaten in pretty often. As for the rest of my goals, they are still hit and miss. I've gotten some stuff for my house, but it's nowhere near done. Same could be said with my wardrobe.

There's my update!

1: Figure out which direction I'm moving in.
2: Create a Samhain ritual.
3: Create a Yule ritual.

House Stuff

1: Repair bathroom floor.
2: Do final bits of wood stove installation.AC put away, stove in position, firewall all but installed, now just the chimney needs hooked up and we'll be set.
3: Winterize house. I'd guess we're about 50% done today!
a: windows Replaced the broken window, sealed around several.  Need to put plastic on the bathroom window.
b: doors Done!
c: vents Tomorrow, maybe.

Leading work is done.  I will have to do the color tomorrow, as the leading needs to fully cure before I add color.
2: Paint "fire wall" for behind the wood stove with Tree of Life.   Done!  I may or may not, and probably not, add more detail.  Next year, perhaps.  I am currently very happy with the finished painting.

What are your goals for Autumn/Spring 2009?  Share them here!

Oh hai.  I'm back and determined to do better on my seasonal goals than before.  Roll Eyes

1.  Complete 'Dino Dash' outfits for this Sunday's 5k.

2.  Create a timeline and/or steps to complete the following goals.

3.  Complete wedding dress mock-up; CHOOSE a dress.

4.  Regain the upper body strength that I lost after breaking my arm.

5.  Come up with one small, regular, spiritual practice.  (How many times has this been on my list?  *Beats self over head with pool noodle.*)

6.  Acquire Christmas gifts for friends and family.

7.  Update my wardrobe (thanks for the idea Devo) by sewing most outfits.

1. Pass my classes.-Won't know the results until after Dec. 11th.

2. Lose the last 12 pounds that will put me into the "healthy" weight range.-Down 1.4 pounds.

3. Go to the gym at least 3 times a week.-Starting this after the hell of the first week of school and two jobs.

4. Finish getting the new place in some order... chaos reigns atm.-Some progress has been made. I can now actually study at my desk!

5. Get license and tag and hopefully fill the freezer with venison.-Half done, now just to wait until season actually starts.

Goals: 6

So just yesterday I read an article about how wild game is riddled with lead and eating it increases the lead in one's body by 50%.  Also that the lead left behind in gut piles can have a devastating effect on the surrounding environment.

Now, I grew up eating venison and seem to be just fine.  But it's something work looking at, and maybe consider switching to alternative ammo or archery.  (I don't know if it's a rifle or archery license that you've got)

Here's the article: http://www.environmentalhealthnews.org/ehs/news/lead-in-game-meat

Don't forget riding boots!

THAT we've got covered!  I've got a gorgeous pair of handmade English leather riding boots, Gen's got a pair of cowboy boots in good repair.  We've got the boots.

I need a pair of riding pants and a helmet, and I found a jacket I'd adore for everyday riding.

www.statelinetack.com and www.doversaddlery.com are two online shops I hear good things about.  I haven't ordered from either; I prefer to give my money to the local mom n pop tack shop, but they might be of use to you.

I should mention that I don't own my own horse, so I only need to buy riding apparel, not tack or supplies.  If I had such a large shopping list I would be more concerned about buying discounted.

Interesting article. If the alternative ammo was available (I'd have to check) and I could afford it, I would use it, as I do rifle hunt. I have problems with my shoulder that excludes me from being able to draw a bow the last few times I tried. I also am very careful to find the bullet (if there is no exit wound) and cut away any bloodshot meat. I'm interested to see what the follow up study shows. I do use steel shot when hunting vermin, so wouldn't have a problem with an alternative. Right now it's a matter of filling the freezer to survive. *shrug*

Exactly my issue.  We have a rather long shopping list to get her (and me) set up with all the equine gear we need.

I've got a friend who makes saddles and tack, so I'm going to talk to him about keeping an eye open for a good saddle in her size.  We both prefer older saddles, already worn in, as they are more comfortable to ride for distances.  I may even see about getting a job there, part time, as I would love to learn how to build a saddle from the tree out, plus all the rest of the tack.  It would allow me to save a fortune in repair and replacement over time.

Thankfully she's not interested in dressage at the moment.  Western gear is pricey enough.  Dressage attire alone would break our bank.
