Bumping this thread because, well, I want to check with ya'll and see how everyone is doing! I read a few others' progress on their blogs, and I see some folks wordcounts on their NaNo profiles, but... how's it going everyone? (Star, I know you have pretty much hit a home run.  Cool)

::whew::  ::pantpant::  I've just hit the home stretch--tonight I topped 45K.

To tell you the truth, I didn't think I'd make it this far without editing a LOT in after finishing the draft.  I thought it was going to be too short.  But it's turning out longer than I'd expected, so that's good.

Now, it totally sucks, quality-wise.  But that's not the point right this second, right?  LOL

I was doing ok, but work issues have taken over my brain (melted it, to be more precise) and I haven't made much progress the last few days.  However, I'm planning my own Black Friday write-in to hit the 50K mark.  I'm not sure that the novel will be finished at that point, however.  It's a case of quantity without much quality this year.

I've done not so well; I'm still only at 14K. I would have done better had a combination of doing a show and coming down with mono not wiped me. Now it's all I can do to get out of bed everyday.

I'm still going to try to make the 50K, but honestly I'll just be happy if I break 20K. And ecstatic if I beat last year's word count of 25.5K.

I was determined that mine would end right around 50K: a nice little novellette.

Instead, I finish with 50K about a third of the way into the story. I know half of this will be cut, because I'm still convinced it is a novellette. But still. Yikes. The prose is awful.  Cheesy

It's almost over guys! To those who have won, CONGARATS! And to all of us who have written words, and made something this month, even more CONGARATS! We did something awesome, guys, even if we didn't make it to 50K.
