That reminds me of my favorite hadron collider website:

I think I found that way funnier than I should have.  Still giggling as I type this...  Grin

I just love the way they can't even quote or translate their own reference material properly. My dad was a latin teacher and he used revelations to teach me 'cause it was the most flowery and provides the best example of how difficult to translate languages can be. The old Latin term for world also means plate or more simply Christendom cause that's how geography worked back then, what you knew and had control of was the world and what you didn't was all mystery, horrid beasts and savage demons your basic hell. The Chinese used to refer to us and the hungry ghosts, anyway when the original bible referred to the end of the world and all that was good and great, what it meant was Christendom, the supposed 'only' center of civilization at the time, it doesn't actually refer to the end of the planet, in fact at the time they had no concept of anything like a planet.

What many of these pushers of the end also fail to mention is that every one of the calculations and systems they rely on don't actually end where they say they do. So the Aztec long count comes to an end in 2012 and so does the world, erm no it doesn't. Like any good calender it cycles round and is best translated as something like the turning of a millennium (to give it it's due though it does seem pretty good at measuring epoch's and times of great change, but then those are quite common.) And when they try to draw in different sources, say like Nostradamus, they fail to mention that after the great tribulation, he predicts a thousand years of peace when men shall hang in the heavens in silver tears and travel to the stars. That doesn't sound like the end of all things to me, sounds quite fun actually. But like all great hack writers, I'm going to leave it there and not tell you about what he and several other farseer's predict after that, I'm not going to give you any real evidence to back up any of what I've just said, although I will sell you a bad home made video of me going of on flights of fantasy if you really want, its only 50 quid. Damn I know there was something I was supposed to do today.

Missed the rapture, did-ya? No worries:

If in heaven we don't meet,
Hand in hand we'll stand the heat.

If it gets intensly hot,
Pepsi Cola hits the spot.

(Besides, if you missed this one, I'm sure there will always be another. . . and another. . . .and another. . . .and another. . . . . . . .)

Is it wild cherry Pepsi? I like my fruit fake and caffeinated

So  is the rapture supposed to come around every 15 minutes like the buses? Cause here the bus is always late.

Oh dear.... I think that has permenantly damaged my eyes!  Cheesy But wasn't the end of the world supposed to happen in the year 2000 or something? I've heard of running over into "extra time", but isn't it a bit much?
