I have plans to participate in a poetry slam in October at the local bar.  I'm feeling a bit nervous about the whole process, as I've never been to one before.  Allow me to pose a few questions:

1.  Have you participated in a poetry slam?
2.  Describe your experience?
3.  What was the atmosphere like?
4.  Did you get anything out of the experience?
5.  Would you participate in a poetry slam again, given the chance?

Thanks!
