Well, after many times thinking about it, it's time to get off my butt and actually put it together.

That's right - it's FlameKeeping- the Book!  So, for those of you interested, below is the outline I have so far.  Do you see things that are missing?  Things that you don't think belong?  Ideas, thoughts, encouragement, sanity pills ..... Cheesy

FlameKeeping:
General Overview

Myths

Inner Relations - section includes building relationship with yourself, emotional balance, blame and guilt, grief, pride, emptiness, faith in oneself, inner strength building

Human Relations - section includes love, marriage, lust, judgment and prejudice, community and how to live in it, drama and conflict, transgression and boundaries, justice and punishment

Divine Relations - section includes soul as flame, igniting your soul, morality, seeing sacred, finding sacredness in other people, finding sacredness in yourself, expanding into the Universe, sacrifice, meanings of faith, ecstasy, the Divine Within.

Devotionals

... thoughts?

Yay, Shadow!!!  Congrats and many well-wishes for the new book.

Well, I think someone mentioned this in chat, but exercises are usually a good idea.

What's audience are you aiming for?  Complete newbies or more advanced members?

Is THAT what you were trying to get at?

Seriously, you need to major a little less in obfuscatory dialogue!

And yes, that's probably a good point.  Inner relations - building a relationship with yourself - sexual identity and awareness.

I'm here! Smiley Nothing to add yet, but I'll give it some thought. What you have so far looks like a great start though. I think the book is a really good idea. Ambitious, but well worth it.

I've been supposing for years that you'd considered the pros and cons of presenting FlameKeeping in book form, and decided you didn't want to go about it that way.  Since that's not the case, the question is, "What kept ya?!?"  (The unassailable answer - probably at least partly true, though not necessarily complete - is, "Swuggy.")

Something brief on how Flamekeeping differs (or is similar to/the same as) other belief systems that people may be more familiar with. It could act to help people place Flamekeeping in the landscape of spiritual paths and to provide some connection points to help people engage the rest of the material more quickly.

oh, Swuggy's a good part of it.  Throw in a dollop of depression and the desire to get somewhere with my LITERARY writing (and a strong fear of being compared to Hubbard ......) well .....

But there seems to be an audience!

.... that's something I hadn't thought of, but it's not a bad idea.  I'm going to have to toss that around the ol brain-pan and see what jiggles free.  Thanks!
