Tainted animal feed not just China's problem
Melamine also found in ingredients made by U.S. companies, FDA reports

Perhaps the death penalty (confiscate their assets including all intellectual property to pay down the national debt) for a few companies would teach the rest of them not to put unapproved ingredients in food.

No need to go to all that trouble. Just leave me alone in a room with the person who decided this, and it will all be taken care of.  Tongue

Shocked ... they say it's used in fish food...  Angry

I have fish.

I think I'm sticking to frozen animals for fish food from now on, like bloodworms, krill, and shrimp.  Undecided

Gah.

Sometimes I make these treats for my cat.  They call for cornmeal.  I have one box of imported polenta, because you can't buy cornmeal here, and this is a treat item for me.  Still, I do not substitute the cornmeal with say, sawdust, just because cornmeal is dear and sawdust would pretty much do the same job.  If I did this, the (imaginary) KSPCA would probably take my cat away.

So why do the people running these companies think it's OK to put random stuff like melamine in their products?  I know, I know, they're so focused on the bottom line that the actual product or service is no longer important to them. But, grr.  Angry

I can't help but wonder if, when our corporate masters finally pass laws that officially enslave us all, they'll still feed us cheap, poisonous, contaminated shit.  Or if they'll not bother to feed us at all.   Angry

I keep meaning to see that movie.  I just don't wanna pay to rent it or to buy it (unless I can get it for, like .50 or $1 at a garage sale or the Goodwill).  But I get the feeling it's kinda like 1984; seems extreme only at first.  Then the cold reality sets in...

Btw, that is a fantastic site!

Check and see if your library has it. Longshot, but you never know.

I don't know if this will help, but Lincoln trails has it.  Of course, I don't believe either Danville or Urbana will interlibrary loan it, but other libraries do interlibrary loan videos.
