There were quite a few letters the following week.  There was also a gag article about ringtones in NYC.  Somewhere there is a whole page of the stuff they've done on April Firsts over the years.

They don't.  I've looked before.  Thanks for the suggestion, though.   

I don't know if this will help, but Lincoln trails has it.  Of course, I don't believe either Danville or Urbana will interlibrary loan it, but other libraries do interlibrary loan videos.

Mine doesn't.  But again, a good thought.    I figure one day I'll meet someone hereabouts who owns it and would be cool enough to lend it to me.

Excellent!  I didn't even realize it was based on a book (which, I recognize was stupid of me, since a lotta the really campy old sci-fi movies from back in the day were based on slightly-to-tremendously better books  ).
