Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy SNORT! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Me being me, I just spewed liquid everywhere.  You'd think I'd know better than to drink and cauldron at the same time.

*Hands Aisling a spare paper towel* Yep, did the same thing, except I'm eating dinner.... Damn near choked to death. *glares at Mel* Wink

You two have been members of TC for how long and you still eat and drink while reading posts here?

Indeed! In my own defense, I didn't start out reading TC when I sat down. Just went through my normal cycle of sites, lol.

Yeah, but it didn't keep you from becoming a True Cauldronite - that sentence is, I believe, missing a "not", which is one of the classic symptoms Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy.

Once upon a time, when scanning the Sky TV guide too quickly, two program titles merged (somehow) and became 'Simon Cowell: Nude for Satan'. Seeing 'Nude for Satan' guarantees a giggle in our living room, but announcing that misreading left my partner laughing for about a week.

I almost got into a car accident from laughing because on the side of a bus-ling, carting senior citizens to their retirement home, I saw "Tequila Assisted Living Association".

There used to be a cleaning service with the name "Somody" in big black letters on the side of their vans
I misread that several times over the years

Makes sense.... If they're gonna make a mess, might as well be able to clean it up ^_^ Quite thoughtful of them, really.

I was going through the McDonalds drivethru today and could have sworn the sign on the building said  "All Beef Puree Big Mac"  Undecided

As someone who took a class dedicated to meat purees, I can tell you that it is as revolting as it sounds.

*snrk*  That's hilarious.

My greatest misreading happened in Psychology class (repeatedly): we're learning about memory, and we go through the Method of Loci - the one where you take a tour of a place you know well and have made associations with parts of the scenery so you remember the things you were planning to remember.  That sentence made very little sense, and I can't think of how to reword it without taking six paragraphs.  Oh, well.  Anyway, my brain now insists on parsing "Method of Loci" as "Method of Loki", which is most likely something completely different.

Does anyone else ever read something in passing, suddenly think ' What did that say?' and have to re-read it just to see if you saw what you think you did?

There's a jewelry store in town called Panache, and the sign is in this weird italic font. Having grown up with Mexican slang, I read it as "Panocha" (a none-too-polite term for a woman's nether regions) every single time--can't help it.
