If anyone comes up with any fancy tricks for selling things, let me know.  I can't seem to get my cedar and emeralds to move.  I have had to buy most of my luxury items.  I'm working pretty hard to make bread but I'm starting to run low

From what I can tell, you need to build the Exchange before you can trade or even build a boat (since you have cedar as one of your items it shouldn't be difficult for you).

I had a problem with bread making myself.  Basically, if you run the wheat feild at full capacity and your bakery at maybe 2/3 you should be fine.  To elaborate, my field and bakery can both have up to 11 laborers.  I have the full 11 working in the field and 7 in the bakery.  I picked this one off the game's wiki.

I was wondering, how many luxury goods can each of you produce?  I only have cedar which I can put to practical use and trade to those who don't have it, but since Nehet has both cedar and emeralds, I'm a bit jealous.  Practicallity aside, I would still like to have my very own (virtual) hole in the ground where I can dig up shiny green rocks*

*ignoring for a second that I like the green of tsavorite garnets more than emeralds

The reason why I have both cedar and emeralds is that I founded a second city.  If you click on one of the neighboring plots with an icon of a resource you should be able to see how much it will cost to take it over.  You need to have three boats, about 1400 bricks, 30-ish of several other luxury goods, and a couple of scarabs.  It took me a few days to save up enough bricks to do this.  I had to leave Abdju alone for awhile and restrain my click-happy finger that kept wanting to use my bricks to make things shinier in my original city instead of saving

If you don't know this already, look in the upper-left hand corner of your nome map.  There are arrow buttons.  Clicking the down arrow will take you to the Bast nome south of you.  It has things that will make you happy.
