I have had this song in my head...particularly "the scars of your love/remind me of us/they keep me thinking/that we almost had it all" part in my head for weeks. It's not that I mind--I like Adele--but still! Enough!

What the hell indeed!

My current earworm is Snow Patrol's "Just Say Yes"- just the refrain where it keeps repeating the words "for God's sake, dear".    Roll Eyes

They tend to do that...It grates on the nerves after a bit.

Ever since I watched the film the other day:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0kGAz6HYM8" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0kGAz6HYM8</a>

It's awesome, but still. Cheesy

It has been a while since we had a tread like this and since I'm in a masochistic mood, I thought what the hell.

I will kick it off by posting my current one.  I first heard this song being sung on the Early 90's Batman Cartoon.  I recentally found out who originally sung it (Virginia O'Brien) and I think that her performence is better than the one Harley did.

Here it is:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-EOSesOOD_g&NR=1

Leave's Eyes... "My Destiny."

Nice Viking-ish video to go along with it... the lyrics are pretty good, and the gal singing this? I love it.

Since this thread appears to've been resuscitated, I'll just mention that I may have to take out Katy Perry to get a little damn peace, since I've had that damn "Teenage Dream" stuck in my head for 2 weeks now.

Damn her, anyhow; if only she'd had a one hit wonder with California Girls and then disappeared. Angry

Forget California Girls. She should have disappeared after "I Kissed A Girl."

And I knew that I will always hate her after that one song came out.  I mean seriously, she can't sing.  Or maybe she can and her producers are telling her to always sing in that horrible falsetto as an elaborate joke.

I seriously thought she would be a one-hit wonder with that song. The only song I have found that I remotely like by her is "Firework" and I think that's the message behind it, more than the actually singing.

Actually, I wasn't really aware that she sang that. Embarrassed  Had I known, my fond wish to smack the shit out of her would've arisen sooner.  I said California Girls because that's the song that made me sufficiently aware of her to remember her name.  Plus, it's about the only one that doesn't sound like caterwauling to me.

I hate that that song gets mixed up with Jill Sobule's "I Kissed A Girl" which is a totally different song, different lyrics, and different quality.  Sobule's is cute, funny, and just... so much better.  Check it out.

And then there is the song that came out before "I Kissed A Girl" titled "UR So Gay."  So in the space of two songs she called an effeminate boyfriend "gay" and boasted about her drunken lesbian experimentation which she only did to make her boyfriend noticed her.  Can anyone tell me WHY the gay community embraced her?  After those two songs, they shouldn't have even given her the time of day!
