Over the past two weeks I've read all the posts in this SIG, ordered Burkert's
Greek Gods, and am still reading through Sannion and Kyrene's sites and generally trying to sort though a huge mass of information.
Would it be totally out of line to give myself a time limit, say six months of consistent worship before deciding that this a great path for me or nope they really don't care one way or the other. I have a horror of bugging them until I get told in no uncertain terms that I am not at the right party, but thanks for the drinks.

Nala
Nala,
I'm not sure if six months is the appropriate amount of time to decide if a path is right, because most religions require a serious amount of study and effort. Most people don't have tremendous amounts of time to devote themselves to full-on researching, so limiting yourself to a relatively short amount of time may end up cheating you out of the proper experiences and mental processes you need to make the best decision for you.
But, who am I to say? You may only need six months.
Whatever you decide, I wish you much luck on this journey,
