Lyric and Koi have been here for about ten years.  (Koi still visits every once in a while although she doesn't have time to post except rarely.)  I think Sperran is the oldest non-founding member still active here. She's been here from pretty near the beginning as I recall.

I joined TC June 15, 2001 at 11:40 am.  Eight and a half years already.

That probably puts you in the top 5 or 10 long time active members.

Eeee! I'm somewhere in there, too. I can't remember when I joined, but I'm pretty sure it was sometime in the first half of 2001 (or maybe the very tail end of 2000.)

I'm always pleased that so many of our members have been here such a long time. Sometimes it is hard to believe how long it has been. If we would not have had to make so many software changes, we'd probably have close to a million messages now.

The front page shows us at 185K+ messages here on SMF, which opened in early March 2007, so it's been about 2.75 years.  Assuming a constant rate of posting (which is probably not the case, but I don't have a good way to allow for fluctuation in a quick calculation), that works out to a theoretical 807K+ messages in 12 years, if I did my math right.  If we hadn't done all the moving around...  *shrug*  Maybe we would've hit 1 million, maybe not.  Hard to say.

We would probably have over 200,000 posts here by the time the third anniversery of switching to TC's current incarnation.  Given that there were a little over nine years before that and the board probably wasn't as busy on Delphi and anything else before Beehive -- and that I don't remember Beehive being as busy as we are with SMF -- I don't think we have hit the One Million mark yet.

I are an old timer.  Now somebody bring me a hot boozy beverage and some damned cookies!  Wink  lol  I'm practicing to be a really, really old, dusty-crusty witch.  After all, in a few short months I'm going to be a grandmother!

*dies just a little, recovers and decides grandkids won't be that bad*

There was a long break in there, mind you, but I still checked in when I could from the library- had to get them to unlock TC for me so if I or they were busy, I didn't do it, but I tried.

Late to the party as usual, but I was sick. No, really, I was. Spent yesterday ensconced on the couch in the parlor, sleeping and dozing and sleeping some more.

But anyway . . . I don't know how long I've been here, but it's a long time. I've not participated as much in the last year or so; however, that doesn't mean I don't check in and read. I still enjoy perusing the boards, even if I'm no longer "pagan." :-)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TC!

At least five years, I think. But I don't track this stuff well.

I seem to remember your first post was a little twisted.  I can't remember what it was, exactly, but it was around the time I joined - I might have welcomed you, or vice versa.

At least that, indeed. I think (not sure, it's muzzy that far back) I found you back on Hellphi. If not there, then shortly after you left for the place following that. Long time, in any case.
