On this, I don't know. That's where the beauty of the armature comes into play- to make sure that things don't fall off. I'm sorry I can't be of more help in this regard.

I added more clay to the base and got it standing on it's own. I'm not too happy with the face now though. I'm thinking of trying to sand it down in areas with fine paper, but I'm not too sure yet.

Just make sure it's super fine sand paper. Otherwise, the sculpey could get rough.

Thanks. The more I see it the more I'm starting to like it, so I'm not sure if I want to mess with it anymore or not yet. I haven't gotten any random intuition telling me that I should make changes so maybe She's happy with it considering my lack of experience.

It's really helpful to have something visual now to focus on the diety. Thank you all very much for your help; I probably would have ended up with a burnt pile of crumbs without it.  Grin
