Inspired by Scott Adams, this is a bit different than the one he's doing right now on his blog.

What do you want people to say about you when you're gone? Or what would you like etched on your tombstone?

I only know that at my funeral I want Paul Williams' "The Hell of It" played loudly. (Yes, the end song form Phantom of the Paradise.) The chorus goes like so:

Good for nothing
Bad in bed
Nobody likes you
You're better off dead
Goodbye!

Although I've requested to be cremated, I have asked my husband to play a specific song at my wake --

"Another One Bites the Dust"

But he said no.  "sigh"

I would hope at least a handful of people would say they miss me.

For my TC eulogy just put:

Or what would you like etched on your tombstone?

I have always been fond of this poem, found on a tombstone in Scotland:

Remember, friend, as you pass by,
As you are now, so once was I.
As I am now, you too shall be;
Prepare, therefore, to follow me.

But I'll probably have them put "Be cheerful. Strive to be happy." on my marker- the last two lines of my favorite poem by Max Erhmann.

I had the Desiderata on my wall when I was a teen. Some days, it was the only thing that kept me from going mad.

I think, on whatever marker people give me, it should be "Always look on the bright side of life".

The layers of humor there, for those that get the reference .. priceless. Cheesy

Oh I change my mind constantly.  But at the moment, I think I might go with 'braaaaaaaains..'

I've always said that I want "ding dong the witch is dead" to be played at my funeral.  Either that or something that will scare anyone who is there.

I would prefer to be cremated, but if I had a tombstone it would say: "Melamphoros, Buried Alive"

I had the Desiderata on my wall when I was a teen. Some days, it was the only thing that kept me from going mad.

I have several copies of it now; when I first found it, I brought it to my mom saying "You have to read this." Turns out, she already had a copy in her wallet. Cheesy I don't think I'd have made it through high school without it.

While we're on the subject of tombstones and since this is the humor folder, has anyone seen this tombstone:
