Randall.  The donor button site wouldn't let me log into paypal.  I went to the regular site and it let me log in, so I donated through the regular paypal site to lensman.

I was able to donate some and I was happy to do so.  Even though I don't post much this place has really been helpful to me.  I would hate to see anything happen to it just because of a little issue of having no one to care for it!

Thank you. It would take it a while to die. Staff can run the board without me, but I'm the person who maintains the software and server and sooner or later something would go back again. Right now I can't even access the server, for example. Chances are it would run fine for months without issues, but with no server updates and no forum software updates, it would be more likely to be hacked. Sad

We are pretty close to what we need now. Probably 72% or so. I will check later tonight and calculate.

Which button? The one in this thread? The one at the top of many message board pages? The one in the News Area of the main page of the web site? I'm updating some of this stuff blind so apologies if there are problems. I'll do my best to fix them.

Thanks again to everyone who has donated thus far. I have one email account working (the one Paypal uses), so will be replying to donation emails tonight or tomorrow. Those donating enough for a numerology reading will get an IOU as I can't get the software I use to work on this laptop -- not enough memory. Everyone donating $25 or more should get a link to the spells download with their thank you email, however.

The button at the top of the forum talking about your computer.

The button at the top of the forum talking about your computer.

It figures. That's the pain in the butt to update one. I'll look at it.

Wait, did you enter an amount AND click on the not very noticeable "update total" button before you tried to log in?  If you don't it will never let you log in. Sad

no, I tried to do both at hte same time, or just the login.  But I managed it by logging into paypal for the regular donation.

There are times Paypal makes things too counter-intuitive for normal people.  Thanks for jumping through extra hoops to help out.

I really hope so. We are down to the final stretch and I want to get the system before I read too much bad stuff about Windows 7. Thankfully, I hear it is better that Vista (which would never be allowed on any machine I have to use regularly), but I've used XP and Linux for many years now and am used to them.

Cheesy

Next stop, computer shopping! I love the come-togetherness to keep this place going.

LOL. Pointing them out is a game here. I wish I could say I make those mistakes on purpose for people to point out, but I just make them.  Embarrassed

Unofficial update: As of around noon, we are at 65% of the amount needed.

I knew that I had heard something like this one before, and last night I figured out where. There is a song by Mike Oldfield called Moonlight Shadow and there is one line that sets my teeth on edge every time I hear it. It goes 'It's 4am in the morning, carried away by a moonlight shadow'. I know that 4am is in the morning. That's why it is 4am and not 4pm. You don't have to say it's in the morning. I am well aware of the fact!

Sorry about that-for some reason it really gets on my nerves. It's such bad English! (I have a itty bitty soapbox about bad English-bet you couldn't tell.  Grin )

LOL. It is redundant. Perhaps it is poetic license or something?

Speaking of am, at 6am this morning we are almost there....

We only need US$60.00 in donations and we should have enough money to replace the computer!
