I have not been able to find the level of immersion that exists in MUDs (particularly roleplay intensive ones). Does anyone else have a weakness for text-based wonders?

Many years ago I'd play on Pern MU*s (mid-1990s). We have a social MUX here at TC.

I have an occasional weakness for text-based games, but I never really got into the multi-user ones.  The closest I've come is our MUX here, which I got really into for a while but then had to let go when the time I had available for chat-type activities started disappearing--and it's not really a "game" anyway, I guess, so much as a place people gather to hang out.

I heart Infocom, though.
