I wouldn't try.  The vast majority of the folklore indicates that it is very unwise to try to deliberately attract the attention of fairies, much less *invite* them to hang out on your property.  If they're already there, there's no harm in leaving small offerings every now and again -- folklore claims milk and sometimes honey are good -- to forestall any problems.  But folklore consistently states that fairies really, REALLY do not like any suggestion that they need to engage in some sort of reciprocal relationship with you, especially one that they did not initiate.  This is why there's a pretty consistent taboo against thanking fairies who do something for you:  it suggests a relationship.  Setting up something like a fairy ring specifically to attract them could easily be taken as a *demand* to interact, and could wind up backfiring on you.

Here's an analogy:  fairies are the absolute meanest, bitchiest, prettiest, wealthiest, most exclusive clique in your (teen movie style) high school, and you?  Well, you are most definitely a geek.  If one of the clique contacts you in a friendly way, it is okay to be friendly back.  But if you value your social safety, and do not wish to become a target, you will under no circumstances initiate contact or try and attract their attention -- and you will in no way presume on previous friendly interactions.  Of course, if you WANT to commit social suicide, go ahead.

And the thing about fairies, it isn't going to be limited to spreading nasty rumors about you.  According to all the folklore, they have power, and temperament, to do horrible, cruel things that will destroy your life far worse than the most evil high school Queen Bee can.
