I bought this book yesterday. I didn't really look at it in the bookstore, but I thought it would be good, since it's Buckland. It wasn't as expensive as most pagan/magic books, and I had some money, so I brought it home with me.

I was expecting a pagan approach to candle magic, or at least a neutral approach. I sure wasn't expecting every ritual to include a psalm from the Bible, and asking God for his help. I have to say that I didn't read the whole book yet, but I read a couple of rituals and looked at the others to see if they had the same structure, and yes, they all include a psalm. I'm not happy. I'll have to modify them all  Angry (...if I ever use them.)

Well I don't have that book, but in Hoodoo using Psalms ist really common.
I figure that there are at least correspondences listed? Stick with them and ask whatever deity you're close to, for help.

I've got the Candle Ritual book from Pajeon. Their talisman magic book is great, the candle book, well, I'm not so fond of exact timetables and things. But there are a few good things in it. You might want to look into that book then.
