Welcome to the new Avatar Design Challenge, round two! Smiley Here's how it works:

  • Entries will be accepted from March 1 through April 30, 2010. Our theme is Architecture. Multiple entries are allowed!
  • You don't have to register to participate, but letting us know if you're planning on giving it a go is always appreciated so we know what the response looks like.
  • When submitting, please upload them to an image hosting service like Photobucket, and then inline them into a reply to this thread (using the [*img][*/img] tags without the *).
  • Posting a theme suggestion with your entry isn't required, but is definitely appreciated! Suggested themes will be used for upcoming challenges.
  • Voting will take place between May 1st and 15th in a new thread. The winner will be announced on May 16th in the active challenge thread. All members are encouraged to vote.
  • Please review the Avatar Guidelines and be sure your entry abides them. Also, please do not use copyrighted images in your entry unless you have permission from the copyright holder.
  • By participating in the challenge, you are giving other members of The Cauldron permission to use your entry as their avatar; all entries will be added to TC's onsite avatar selection. If you do not want your entry to be added, you must specify this in your submission post!

    Upcoming Themes:
  • May/June - Sanctuary
  • July/August - The Senses

I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! Cheesy

Our theme is Architecture.

I've been waiting for this one.

I almost put it in wildlife, but a) there's no wildlife in the picture, and b) the spider built it, so it's architecture.

One foggy Autumn morning, I saw this on my way out the door to work.  That is frost coating the web, with my sweatshirt as backdrop.

I'm keeping an eye out for more traditional "architecture" too.  All I have is my cell phone for a camera though, so who knows how they'll look.

Two more.  Side door of a municipal building, and the local Theatre building.

I also took a picture of a brick wall to be cheeky, but it's too washed out.

I thought I didn't have anything for this one as my architecture phase coincided with my traditional camera stage and my digital camera is currently in storage so no new piccys. Then I remembered this. It's from a trip I took a few years back to Italy. I was mostly experimenting with photographing people, but I did have some fun with the local buildings. It was a beautiful little town. I wish I could still find all the pics from that trip. This is the only building pic from those that I still have. I hope you like it.

Welcome to the new Avatar Design Challenge, round two! Smiley
I had some others, but they were sort of too intricate and didn't translate well to avatar size (doesn't help I can't figure out how to resize without it getting fuzzy. lol). But here's one that turned out really well! These are the steps at Belfast Castle.

There are some great submissions!

I wonder if anyone would be willing to take this over for me for a little while? I am short on brain in general, and I appear to be in the beginning of a lyme flare-up. Sad Just shoot me a PM if you're interested, it doesn't require all that much.
