Coming back to this thread, I think that it may be time to start putting together links.  Please use this post (reply #6 in this thread) as a guide for the type of content that will be included.

Don't mind me, I am resurrecting this thread after a year to see if this idea is still do-able.  *whistles*

Heh... I promised you a gastronomic linkdump, and didn't deliver.  I'll try to get to that on Sunday.

If you are interested in Vegetarian/Vegan recipes and resources, I have a ton of links bookmarked. Most of the recipes have few ingredients and/or do not take much time to prepare.

Thanks, supply away but I'm thinking we should shy away from individual recipes.  I was figuring that there would be enough vegetarian/vegan resources for it's own subcategory Cheesy

Okay, you can put the stick down now.

I've tried to more-or-less stick to your categories (while adding a few), but a lot of sites could fit more than one.  Please feel free to do any reorganizing, omitting, etc that you deem appropriate - these aren't all my bookmarks, I winnowed out a few that didn't seem suitable, but I wasn't being super-picky since it was a large task already.  (See, it really is a linkdump!)

Many of these links I got from other Cauldronites - thank you, fellow foodlovers!

General Recipes:
Food.com (used to be Recipezaar - or at any rate, it's where my Recipezaar link redirected)
RecipeSource
Cookthink
Cooks.com
Slow and Simple (slow cooker recipes)
What's Cooking America (also has quite a bit in the "tips and techniques" line)
The Pioneer Woman Cooks
Cookstr
iChef
Culinate

Cultural and Historical Recipes:
Gode Cookery
Medieval and Renaissance Food (from SCA Arts & Sciences pages)
Feeding America: The Historic American Cookbook Project
Anna Maria's Open Kitchen (Italian)
Thai Food and Travel
Vintage Recipes
The Stewpot Period Culinary Guild (more SCAdian cookery)
Indian Food at Indianetzone
Persian Cuisine at Persia.org
TriniGourmet
The Creole and Cajun Recipe Page (also has metric/Imperial conversion page and a section with recipes from other cultures)

Budget Recipes:
Student Cook (UK) (not students of cooking, but cooking for college students)
The Paupered Chef

Health Recipes:
Veg Box Recipes (UK)
Better Batter Gluten Free Flour Recipe Archive
Gluten-Free Recipes at Celiac.com
Post Punk Kitchen (vegan)
xgfx (vegan and gluten-free

Techniques (several of these sites do recipes, too):
The Cook's Thesaurus
Ochef
MacScouter:  Cooking for Scouts and Scouters (camping cookery)
Sally's Kitchen (using a rice cooker, for lots more than just rice)
The Fresh Loaf (all about bread)
Breadtopia (likewise)
GourmetSleuth
Cooking for Engineers
FoodPairing
A Practical Guide to Sous Vide Cooking

Herb & Spice:
Gernot Katzer's Spice Pages
Penzey's Spices (a supplier, of course, but has info about seasonings)
A Pinch Of
The Epicentre

Booze:
Realbeer.com
Got Mead
The Oxford Bottled Beer Database
American Homebrewers Association
CraftBeer.com
Art of Drink

Blogs (I'm just going to list a few I particularly like, because I have a ton of cooking-blog links):
Dinner with Julie (I have to include this one; I picked it up from Lyric, I think, or at any rate someone on TC, and was completely tickled to find it was local-to-me)
Smitten Kitchen
Gretel was getting fatter
Evilsciencechick's food posts
Cooking for Geeks (possibly this one goes under "techniques" - it's the companion blog to the book of the same name, which is pretty much the "kitchen chemistry" cookbook I've been yearning for for years)
Ancientfoods
The Joy of Eating

Magazines:
Cook's Illustrated
Sunset.com Food & Wine

Other:
Food Porn (has recipes, but the emphasis is on pics)
What the Fuck Should I Make For Dinner? (a foul-mouthed idea-suggester, with links to recipes [mostly, it appears, at Cookstr, see above])
Open Source Food (like Food Porn, has recipes but is pic-heavy)

Sunflower, who is now famished
