The seasons are about to change, so it's time for another round of seasonal To-Do lists.

How this thing works:
1. Post your list of goals to be accomplished during the Spring (Autumn if you're south of the equator).
2. After the equinox, periodically post updates and progress reports on this thread.
3. I'll try to give progress updates for the entire group every week or two.
4. The fun ends on the last day of the season, when we'll start a new thread and whole new lists.
5. Most important: Have fun and don't get too stressed!

Post your lists now and remember to update them regularly between March 21st and June 21st.
Good Luck!

*siiiiiigh* that time again!

1. Finish this draft of Ghost.  Yes, again.  I just deleted a couple chapters off the end - again.  I want this one DONE!

2. Finish my sweater.

3. finish my mom's slippers

4. finish swug's pickup truck.

5. either get Curse/Breakpoint out the door, or figure out what's left to do to get it ready for that.

6. Get Nightbird out the door or figure out what needs to be done there - and do it!

7. begin to get strength back up - try for at least a weekly walk or something, so that by the end of the season, I can easily make it to the bus stop and back without being winded.  Preferably able to bike to library, but hey, let's be real. Smiley

8. Start Ambassador over.

9. Figure out where Captive Princess went off the rails and get together an outline for fixing it.

10. knit lace scarf through at least March or decide I need to give up on it.  Preferably knit. Smiley

*eyes it* well, that should be plenty for anyone!

Goals for Spring!

Outside:

1. Work on the Shed of Doom.  It needs 'some' organization and weeding.

2. Yard work.

3. Acquire yard tools and maintenance supplies. (A pair of gloves and handheld trimmers is not going to cut it. No pun intended.)

Inside:

4. Spare bedroom.

5. Clothing reorganization.

6. Kitchen organization.

Personal:

7. Exercise.

8. Continue on wardrobe.

9. Birthdays.

10. Personal sewing.  (I have an ever growing pile of darning that needs my attention.)

11. Cooking exploration.

12. Surviving work.

Ok, I will give this a  try this season.

1. Sort out my office-redecorate, change flooring, get new desk etc

2. Actually complete a cross stitch pattern within a 3 months!

3. Teach Elizabeth to sew (wish me luck on this one!)

4. Help Noel to maintain the garden (I hate gardening!)

5. Learn how to keep bees so I can actually help with ours.

6. Get back to the gym and tone up my stomach (when I can actually get off the couch for 5 minutes without screaming in pain)

7. Carry on teaching Stephen about Witchcraft so he can do some things on his own

8. And finally- watch Buffy and Angel from start to finish, even the episodes that I really hate!

I think that hat lot will do!

Creative Stuff
1. Crochet dragon puppet.
2. Crochet macaw puppet. -- Though now I think I may make it into a phoenix...
3. Win Script Frenzy.

Work Stuff
1. Write list of things boss and I need to consider for my working while in Seattle.
2. Update company website before I leave.

Traveling Stuff
1. Have a frakking blast on my road trip to Seattle. -- I'll probably post a thread in the Community board when it comes to it, but you Life's To Doers will know before anyone else: I'll be living in Seattle this summer, and possibly longer, beginning April 28, and I'm driving there with a friend, and visiting a mutual friend to stay in Sequoia National Park. For those who may remember, this is the *unplanned* and indeterminate plan I was talking about. I have no idea if I'll look for a job there. I have no idea how long I'll be staying (I'll be living with my uncle and his family). I have no idea if I will even like Seattle. This trip is devoid of expectations, wants, or goals. It is simply an adventure. Which... well... I think I deserve.  Smiley
2. Save $1,200 in travel funds. -- This is a specific account at a bank. I'm at about $900 right now.
3. Choose number of books to take with me.

I think that's good enough for now.

1. Take care of myself; includes making and keeping doctor's appointments, remembering to take and refill meds.
2. Apply for student visa.
3. Separate my things from ex's things; donate/give away/sell a good portion of what remains.
4. Beg shamelessly through all possible avenues for financial aid/money.
5. Reinstate daily devotional practice.
6. Finish out semester with current work project complete and a GPA high enough to stay on Dean's List as well as an honors grade on the area comp.

Ok, time to stop reading everyone else's lists and write my own.

1. Find a different job... before I lose my mind, my temper, and my reluctance to hex people outright. For those who know about the ugliness that's gone on, it's actually getting worse.  Yet, the person responsible for 95% of the soul-crushing dysfunctionality is still gainfully employed without so much as a "No, no, bad human" from hir boss. Roll Eyes

2. Write something every week. - I'm not going to specify what, as that seems to be a sure recipe for failure.  I don't care what I write - blogs, poetry, fiction, rants - as long as I'm writing regularly.

3. Design and plant the patio garden. - I have a 175-square-foot plot of mulch and dirt to transform into a herb/flower garden and a long list of things I want to grow this year. Squee.

That's it.  If I can get through those three things, it'll be the most productive season ever.

(But I stopped looking for another job at the moment, because there is literally nothing around.)
