The seasons are about to change, so it's time for another round of seasonal To-Do lists.

How this thing works:
1. Post your list of goals to be accomplished during the Spring (Autumn if you're south of the equator).
2. After the equinox, periodically post updates and progress reports on this thread.
3. I'll try to give progress updates for the entire group every week or two.
4. The fun ends on the last day of the season, when we'll start a new thread and whole new lists.
5. Most important: Have fun and don't get too stressed!

Post your lists now and remember to update them regularly between March 21st and June 21st.
Good Luck!

So...for spring...and I decided to just go back to focusing on this month...it makes me less stressed.

Do you need Indy to swing in and fight some Nazis?

*readies hat*

LOL.  I think that might just do the trick.

*hugs*
I hear you.
(But I stopped looking for another job at the moment, because there is literally nothing around.)
Hang in there!

Thanks Tana.  The job market here is horrible as well, but hopefully, it will start to open up again now that winter's over.

Goals for Spring!

Outside:

1. Work on the Shed of Doom.  It needs 'some' organization and weeding.

2. Yard work.

3. Acquire yard tools and maintenance supplies. (A pair of gloves and handheld trimmers is not going to cut it. No pun intended.)

Inside:

4. Spare bedroom.

5. Clothing reorganization.

6. Kitchen organization.

Personal:

7. Exercise.

8. Continue on wardrobe.

9. Birthdays.

10. Personal sewing.  (I have an ever growing pile of darning that needs my attention.) Just finished the big darning pile, tracking down any extra stuff that needs mending.

11. Cooking exploration.

12. Surviving work.

1. Get through this semester at school.
5. Celebrate the festivals

1. It would probably help if I could get out and get to the school to register. Morning sickness is kicking my butt today, but if I wake up after a little nap and am okay, then gogogo. But between morning sickness, and having to go down a mountain in the rain-- I'll pass.

5. This one is not starting out well. I completely missed the equinox. I'm going to chalk it up to Celts not actually having celebrated that originally and keep going.

1. Get through this semester at school.

Step in the right direction: I got a placement waiver for the English classes I have already taken and requested my transcripts from my previous college. The end of this week I get to register for new student orientation and hopefully my classes. ^.^

The seasons are about to change, so it's time for another round of seasonal To-Do lists.

At this point I will be lucky to get the dishes done among the thousand things I have to do each day.

I'll make this short:

1.  Do dishes.
2.  Clean House
3.  Transfer Writing onto Flash Drive
4.  Work on one essay for my trad
5.  Finish the sem without killing anyone.

That should be good.

OK, never give up, never surrender  Grin

Alright, that's enough motivation for me.  Even after my disastrous last season.

1.  Survive a night ghost hunting in (the no longer in service)Ohio State Reformatory (Mansfield Prison: www.mrps.org).
2.  Survive working as costume director for my first theatre experience.
3.  Clean up all the dead vegetation in my yard, and take the Christmas lights.  (Hey, I haven't plugged them in months!)
4.  Sew up a spring jacket.
5.  Amass a collection of information for website idea.
6.  Find a cake baker for my wedding.

Oh, ew. Good luck with that one. I'm originally from around the Marion, OH area and I've heard it's really rough. I did some ghost hunting in Missouri while I was living there. It wasn't too bad until we went to a cemetery that T.A.P.S deemed haunted a few years back. I freaked out, we never went back. But I'm a scared-y cat, so don't let that discourage you. Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

Haha!  I'm really excited!  Ghosts aside, I get to run around in an abandon prison all night.

I know parts are in really bad shape (why I'm bringing at hat and particle mask-just in case).  What have you heard?

If I remember the place correctly, it's not in too bad of a shape physically--considering. I would definitely carry a flashlight, first aid kit, mask, and things like that though, just in case. It is an old building, and prisons were never taken care of to begin with. Make sure to wear a sturdy shoe, also. But those are all kind've obvious things.

But I have heard that the activity in there has made many die hard skeptics believers. Some of the goings on in there have been said to get pretty intense. But it's safe. Above all else, I've heard that it's scary yes, but safe.

But it's safe.

It's as safe as any other old building filled with lead paint, mold spores, dust, and several pissed off spirits who were hardened criminals when they were alive.  Cheesy

I was out there in the early 90's, not too long after it first opened to the public.  My impression of the place that it was very active with a rather nasty and unpleasant edge to it. Then again, it was a prison and a certain level of unpleasantness is to be expected.  I think the worst happenings I've heard from people (those that I trust in these matters) are tales of being pushed or slapped while walking the cell blocks.

Dust is probably a bigger issue there than the ghosts.  Fierflye, if you have dust or mold allergies, I highly recommend taking allergy meds along.  Also, wear layers or a warm jacket (gloves? hat?).  IIRC, it's cold in that place even in the height of summer.
