It may be just because I first spotted it in the Peepshi thread, but...  I swear it reminds me of a giant purple Peep.  LOL

If you want to participate, please post in here. Everyone, regardless of religion, is welcome to participate.  If you can't participate at 8pm your time, feel free to pick a different hour, Chavi would not have cared. Smiley

I'll help with the oceans, since I won't be home by 8 (working the late shift today). So I'll light one later when I do get home, and let it burn a good long time.

I can imagine Chavi pointing that out. Gods, I miss her.

Candle lit (half an hour ago, at 8pm my time).  I will let it burn 'til it's goes out on it's own, since I'm a night owl anyway.

I'm about to put out my light for the night, but I this warranted comment.  Something about honoring Chavi has become...silly.  Not the honoring itself, but what I perceive as how it should go.  Even at Dia de los Muertos this year, I had a giggly feeling about her.  Like she's coming through with the good humor and joy we knew her for.  Anyway, tonight, thinking about her, I'm smiling broadly and kinda non-stop.  And for some weird reason I think she approves.  Smiley

I'm sure she does approve. I doubt she'd want it any other way.

Count me in. I'll light a candle at 8 pm Argentinian time. I'll try to get a bigger candle than last year (which lasted only 45 minutes, IIRC), and let it burn for as long as it lasts.

I lit the candle at 8 pm and it burnt until 9:45 pm. And now I think that's what last year's candle lasted too (not 45 minutes, but an hour and 45 minutes...).

I lit the candle at 8pm and let it burn until we all went to bed at 10.30pm. I got a very pleased feeling from somewhere-I guess that Chavi was calling in to see who the hell I am!
