Forgive me if i dont get the name right but i  think i saw myself as the goddess diana.

I had this really strange dream quite a while ago where i was levitating with snakes coming out of my head beside an apartment i used to live at when i worked abroad, i was sort of levitating outside the balcony beside the palm tree.

Its something i have recently remembered, could this be my chosen Goddess, who choses to work with me?  I remember seeing a picture years ago in a book of a lady on a horse with snakes as hair, and i think she was named Diana, although i could be wrong.

I remember reading this lady works between life and death, and have been told i could be clairvoant, sorry about my spelling!!, so that would make sense, the working between the two worlds.

This dream was in colour and so vivid, its just something i have begun to wonder, do your chosen gods and goddess chose you, or make themselves known somehow, through visions and dreams?

Thanks for any insight.

Thanks for any insight.

Dreams are tricky, tricky things. Is it possible that your dream was Diana trying to prod you? Yeah, it's entirely possible, but I wouldn't go jumping on board just yet. Could your dream have meant anything else? Were you feeling nostalgic? Are you afraid of heights/snakes? Did you eat something you really knew you shouldn't have right before bed? Did you watch a show/movie/read a story about myths or such? All of these are very valid conclusions as to why you could have had that dream.

For me, I find it odd that you would see *yourself* as Diana. I've had dreams where An Morrighan has spoken to me in a corporal form that I can relate to, but I have never *been* her. Others might have a different experience with this than I, however.

However, before you jump on the Diana-wagon I would do a bit of research. I'm sure there is more than one deity that looks like what you saw. Read about Her, get to know Her. Make sure it's a right fit. Meditate, pray, do something to try to communicate.

I have just been researching diana and its not the goddess i remember seeing in this book, i have always been afraid of snakes, and had snakes as hair, so maybe it was that playing on my mind for some reason.  I'm trying to find the name of the goddess, i'm sure its not diana after reading about her, the search will go on, dont know why i remembered this after so long, really strange.

Medusa had snakes for hair.
Hekate is often depicted as winged and holding snakes and is a goddess of the crossroads, gateway to the otherworlds.

I'd be careful with dreams if I were you. They can provide spiritual insight, but then again, dreams could just easily be your mind playing around. In the end, I think the best you could do would be to really question yourself on the issue, be critical, and eventually you'll find an answer.

Maybe, maybe not. I would say do some more research and then "try it out" and see how you feel. No need to jump right into it head on, but look into it and find out.
I am a firm believer in "testing the water".  Wink
Good luck!
