Thank you for this...

Know what, thank you for quoting it.
I just realize how important that's for me too.

The ritual... well, the earth did not shake, and no wild animals gathered around me or something. *lol*
But well, it was quiet and I guess ok.

The moment I recited the Peace-Meditation the sun broke through the otherwise totally cloudy sky.
That was really nice Smiley

The most important part about this ritual was in fact doing it.
I'm someone having trouble with keeping to plans, so I'm a little proud that I've made it this time. Wink

And next thing will be getting a tattoo.  Shocked

Do you have a design planned?

Do you have a design planned?

I think I start with something small, but visible.
I thought about a spiral on the inside of each wrist.
One clockwise, the other counter-clockwise.

I guess I'll stick with black for now.
The spirals should be quite small anyway.

For something 'celtic' or something that connects me to the animal kindred I could imagine some color.
This will be the tattoo shop I choose:

Wow!  That's an intense site!  Your tat sounds nice.  I'm probably going to get one myself.  Something like a cresent moon with a raven perched on it.  I know the Celts were more solar oriented, but I love the imagery of the cresent moon.

Well, not necessarily?
They counted in nights at least.
Like were the term fortnight is coming from.

At least that is my not at all vast knowledge, but I'm sure I've read this somewhere.

Moon and raven sounds nice Smiley
My spirals won't be spectacular at all Wink

Oh yes, they will be.  Having them at your wrist will not only be eye-appeasing, but painful too! Not that I'm wishing you pain...but I hear it's more intense where there is no flesh to protect the bone.  Which is why getting a tat on the tush is most ideal!

I know they will hurt, but they will be small, I'll live through it. Wink
Besides I want to see them, to be reminded - that would be a wee bit difficult on the other place. *laughs at the idea of running around the own backside like a doggy trying to see the tat*

I have very little pain tolerance, but I got my inner wrists tattooed with little discomfort. Initially it was annoying, and then the endorphins kicked in and I hardly noticed the needles at all.

Now that's comforting.  Smiley

But I guess that esp. with pain, everyone is very different and tolerances can not really be compared.
I will see how it is for me, when I'm at it. But I don't worry about it.
