Alan just called me to say that Elspeth passed over this morning at home and in her sleep. No funeral arrangements have been made yet, but I will pass on the info when I get it.

As Elspeth has been very ill and has not been on the board much these past few years (and maybe only once in the past year or so), many new members do not know her. Long time members will remember her, as she is very hard to forget. Not to mention the fact that this board exists because of her. When we set it up on Delphi, it cost money to have your own forum on the service. I started it as a Yule present for her. She was very active on TC in the early days -- before her various illnesses caught up with her -- and was one of the people most responsible for getting this board going and giving it the direction it has had all these years.

I'm not making much sense, I know.  Sorry, but she has been a good friend for many years and this is hitting me hard.

(((Elspeth, her family and friends)))  (((Randall)))

She will be missed.

((((Randall, Alan, Lyric))))

A thousand of bread, a thousand of beer, and a thousand of every good thing upon the spirit of Elspeth. May she be justified, may she ascend.

I very much remember Elspeth, and she will be sorely missed.

Oh, I'm so very sorry! (Having had the chance to get to know her early on.) My thoughts are much with Alan, and with you and Lyric, and with everyone else who loved her.

(And should you find out about a particular cause/charity/whatever to send donations in her name, please let us know?)

I'm so sorry.  {{{{{{{{{ all who loved her }}}}}}}}}

I only spoke to her a few times, but even during the long silences, the thought of her being here, breathing our air and warmed by our sun, was a comfort.  Now there is an empty place where she was.

"And love you once again..."

((((Randall, Lyric, Alan))))

I remember Elspeth mostly from Beehive.  We didn't speak directly to each other very much, but I always enjoyed her posts.

May she ascend.

I am so sorry to hear that Elspeth has gone from us. She was a wonderful person and an inspiration in my life. When my husband Charlie passed, Elspeth send me a poem, Lifetime Companion, which I read at his memorial service. The poem is about losing a mate, but a few of the lines apply to us all.

"I remind myself of cycles;
That Death is a beginning...
And never an ending...."

Dear Elspeth, you will be missed!

My sympathies to you and everyone who knew and loved her.  Remembering when she was well enough to visit the board, she was always so strong through her illnesses and contributed many valuable insights to TC discussions.  Sad

So sad, our beloved Elspeth.  She always joked that she was just a simple housewife, but she was so much more in our lives.  I hope she is with her Lady now.
