A thousand of her favorite stories, with the eyes to enjoy them.
A thousand of her favorite memories, with the body to relive them.
A thousand of her favorite friends, to toast her on her way.

May she go to her hereafter in peace, serenity, and happiness.

Oh wow, I'm so sorry! I think her participation had started to taper off by the time I joined, but I remember reading some of her older posts. She was very insightful. She will definitely be missed.

Alan just called me to say that Elspeth passed over this morning at home and in her sleep. No funeral arrangements have been made yet, but I will pass on the info when I get it.

I'm really sorry to hear about this, Randall - my condolences to you and her family.

(((Alan, Randall, and Lyric))) My thoughts are with you.

I remember updates on Elspeth's health when I joined the board, and seeing her posting a bit.

Very sad...  Sad
I'm sad because I didn't met her...
I hope, and believe that her spirit will find eternal peace.

I've heard from Alan. There will be a small memorial at Elspeth's house on Friday about 6pm.

Quote
Anyone is welcome to attend either in spirit or in person.  If in person, we will be having some pizza and wine: two of her favorite foods which she was not allowed to eat very much of in recent times.

We will be making and listening to music, telling stories of her to unite everyone together and say goodbye or 'Till we meet again.

If you are not able to personally attend, we will appreciate any good wishes, energy, JuJu, prayers, or what you are able to offer on her behalf.  A simple, but effective symbol is burning a candle to symbolize here life spirit. Please let me know if you have any stories you would like to share with those at the house.

I'll be lighting a candle.

I'll be lighting a candle.

Light one for me, will you? I'll do my best to have one going up here at Mom's house, but I don't know if it will be possible, and I'd like to at least have one from me.

From Alan:

Donations in Lieu of Flowers for Elspeth Sapphire (Candy Brown)

Quote
Here is the donations page for the Denver Rescue Mission where we would like to have any financial donations sent on our her behalf.

Should you have any favorite charities you would rather use, I know she would appreciate your kindness.

http://www.denverrescuemission.org/donate.html

And yes, before you comment, this is a Christian charity. Elspeth has spoken highly of their charity work in the past and that more than enough endorsement.

Thank you for letting us know.  Do you think it would be okay with the family if I also remember her when we say Kaddish during our services on Saturday?

I'm sure it would be. Elspeth was always willing to accept blessing from anyone regardless of religion.

I am so sorry to hear this.  I joined the board after Elspeth had pretty much left, so I never knew her.  But I could still feel her presence on the board - both through old posts and articles, as well the as occassional loving comment from older members.

*Hugs all around*

I'm putting it on my calendar to light a candle then.
