This isn't the first time they snuck something "pagan" into the show. When it first started (I think during the whole Tritter thing) Wilson told someone House was Wiccan.

I remember that joke, and loved it.  It was perfectly timed and hilarious.

He doesn't make me swoon.  He makes me laugh.  Mostly because I always think of him like this:

I wan gonna ask where that was from, the the jpg thing just told me it was from Black Adder.  Not that I've ever seen it, I'm just aware of it, like I'm aware of several shows.

Ditto.  There's enough eye candy to go around in that cast.  Wink

That's why we watch Criminal Minds, too.  Because it's definitely not for the...stellar...plots.   Cool

OOOoooh yeah. Shemar Moore and Matthew Gray Gubler. Yummy!

My love for Wilson increased tenfold when he told that joke.  Grin

Not to mention half or more of the time, the diagnosis, IS medically wrong for the symptoms.  I'll post the blog I found that critiques House episodes for actual medical accuracy.

I saw part of an episode with someone being held hostage in the MRI room with a GUN.  They were standing at the end of the scan bed.  This shows me that the writers are not even bothering to try and research the medical stuff.  The magnets in MRIs are always on whether the machine is running a scan or not.  A hunk of metal that big would have been sucked into the bore once you walked in the door, not to mention standing at the end of the bed.

He was great in the Black Adder series.  He was funny in Jeeves and Wooster as well.

I also love Jeeves and Wooster and A Bit of Fry and Laurie. Fry and Laurie are two of the funniest men ever.

Yeah.  There was a line explaining that the king had gotten the idea for making the knights eat the weird stuff from "Fear Factor".

*eyeroll*
As a former rennie, this actually doesn't seem too out of line. lmao. I knew a former Elizabeth who I wouldn't put past this. Among many raunchy comments and bits, including hiding an acrobat under her skirt (IIRC), she also rode the faire elephant at one point... I caught a glimpse of it through the trees and had one of my truer in-character moments of the season as I shrieked in real terror and my heart actually stopped. I proceeded to spread the news: "Didst thou see the Queen upon the elephant?!" and enjoyed being a source of information for the afternoon, lowly washer wench that I was. lmao.

Totally beside the point, however... the end of the semester looms, and madness blooms. Smiley

Definitely not.  I usually think of him doing his chicken impression.  Kind of the exact opposite of House.  Wink

Am I the only one who finds that picture to be a bit.....creepy Huh

And this is coming from a self-described nightmare fetishist.

If you had seen the character in context, it wouldn't seem creepy.  He's too bumbling and silly to be creepy.

I watch a lot of TV.  Too much.  But that's what happens when you're in chronic pain and can't work or read.  Undecided

I've noticed that paganism -- usually something Wiccish -- occasionally pops up as a plot point in popular TV shows, and they almost always get it wrong.   Not a huge surprise.

Related to the above:

Next week's brand new episode of Bones is going to feature what looks like a Wiccan coven as its major plot point.  The promo that aired during tonight's episode's credits seemed to indicate that a lot of jokes will be made regarding this.  Then again, it's a promo Undecided
