Hello everyone,

I had previously been on here as Mimallones, however I felt I have sufficiently moved past the, for lack of a better term, college party nymph stage.  So here I am as Justitia, which is more along how I spend most of my time.  I just finished my second year of law school.  Being a lawyer is more than a job or a career, to me it is a calling.

Some more stuff about me for those who don't know me from before or just forgot, I'm living in Southern California, but that may change after law school.  I am married and my DH is a physical therapist who works in skilled nursing facility.  I have two wonderful kitties, who are the object of what some call my misplaced maternal instinct.

Religiously I call myself a Unitarian Universalist, (1) because I am a member of a UU church and (2) for those who know about UU it justifies my often generic yet deep spirituality BE A GOOD PERSON, everything else is window dressing, which has its purpose for sure.  However I have slight pagan leanings, most UUs have some sort of leanings.  At the moment I am studying Tarot pretty intensely.  I have found it is a wonderful tool for self analysis.  Not so intensely I am studying herbalism.

My political views are often intimately intertwined with my spiritual beliefs.  I am a liberal in the USA, so I am often depressed (that was a little joke). I think socialists probably have the right idea, but since I don't have personal experience I can't say for sure.  There are a lot of problems in the world that I wish were better, but I know I don't have all the answers or even understand the question most of the time, but I know when I feel something isn't right.

What this means to the forum, not much.  The last version of me was a cyclical lurker, but I never posted very much, primarily because I felt others expressed themselves more eloquently what I would have wanted to say.  Perhaps I will be more outgoing now, but rest assured I will behave myself with the utmost civility, except when having appropriate silliness.  Part of my beliefs is that 1st Amendment rules others before it rules me.  It is about the marketplace of ideas, and if you don't have a variety of opinions out in the market something isn't working properly.  For  myself if I can't contribute to constructively the market, I generally keep my mouth shut.  Also I don't poo in my own bed, if i want to enjoy something I won't go soiling it with negativity and such.  Well that is probably the most definitive statements you will hear from me, and it is only because I am talking about myself, which I figure I have the most authority about, though even this idea is tenative.

I hope everyone is having a nice weekend, and I will see you in some threads.

Hello everyone,

Welcome back, Justitia.

If "talking to yourself" is how you express yourself, go for it.
