Apparently the local realtors aren't happy either.  We've already got TONS of empty commercial real estate, but now Hispanic owned businesses have begun packing up and moving out state.

I can't get the page to entirely load before it crashes, let alone actually watch the video.

Did see one comment claiming it was a CNN report from 2 years ago.

Try this one.

But it does look like it's older.

Thanks.

Date stamp on the upload is 1 May 2008, a bit over 2 years ago.  Different (and older) law than the one this thread started on.

Of note, AZ unemployment went from 4% in 2008 to 9.4% now. I wonder how many illegal (or legal) aliens would be taking jobs from citizens / legal aliens now.

Posting a blog post since I'm too damned lazy today to chase stuff down. There are links in the blog posting.

I see Arizona getting its ass handed to them by the Supreme Court sometime in the near future.

Well, only if the AZ legislature passes this bill. Actually, I don't think it will take the Supreme Court. District court will knock it down pretty fast.

Yeah, this one won't make it until the ink is dry.

Who knows. Maybe Arizona will lead the next great secession.  Roll Eyes

Nah. Perry doesn't have the balls. He's too busy kicking up his heels in his 9K/month mansion and shooting coyotes.

They'd have to understand the federal government thing better to even think of it.

If Arizona does secede, can Downstate New York [the Greater NY City and near by Counties] secede from New York State?

As along as the rest of the state doesn't mind, you actually could. The Constitution prohibits Congress from forming new states from the territory of other states -- unless the original state agrees with it. So convince the rest of NY that they don't want you. Smiley
