While I found this humerous, it raised the question.

Would I accept a heaven without dogs?

I would have to say no.

My question is does you path allow for the salvation of non humans?

My religion doesn't have the concept of salvation at all - dogs, human, whatever.

If I believed in an afterlife, it would most definitely include animals. Smiley

I'm a big Rainbow Bridge proponent. If there is an afterlife, and I'm not convinced there is, all my animals had better be there or I won't want to be. I couldn't care less about deities...I want my four leggers.

The one time I am completely convinced that I saw an angel in a dream, she was standing beside the dog that I grew up with.

Exactly. If my dogs, cats, birds, turtles, etc. can't be with me in the afterlife, there there would be little point to being in the afterlife.

Oh man, I am so totally crying right now.

It's strange, but I have absolutely no problem believing in a heaven for animals. Myself I'm dubious about, but I've no doubt my dog, cats, mice, goldfish, parrot, and hermit crab are still around up there, somewhere.

Oh, I am crying so hard right now. That's so wonderful.

To answer the OP's question, I believe in reincarnation with a sort of waiting room/resting time in between lives. It's not the afterlife; it's the between-life. You can hang out, see old friends, study things, do whatever, and you can take whatever form is most comfortable for you, which may change with your experiences. Then, when you're ready to try being mortal again, you go and get reborn. (The between-life I envision is sort of like the one in the film Made in Heaven, which is really sweet.) And in my worldview anything that has a life and eventually dies goes to the between-life to be reincarnated. (Yeah, paramecium are up there along with the plants my black thumb kills and my beloved fur-people and my relatives and friends and everything.)

Maybe the dogs do go to heaven.

Dog heaven, not human heaven.

I don't believe in an afterlife for anyone.
