Hey, folks.

I'm moving to Dublin, Ireland in... wow. Two weeks. I'll be there for at least a year. Anyway, the real reason for the post:

Anybody know of any decent occult bookshops/attractions on the Emerald Isle? My sibling unit claims she hasn't found much (she's been there seven months) but she's also... well. Lazy. *laughs* Anyway, I checked WitchVox but I figured I'd bug you guys too since ya'll have such good taste.  Wink

(And heck, any other "oooh this place is cool!" recommendations are welcome too!)

Ok, first...so jealous.  I only got to spend a couple days there, but Dublin is a lot of fun.  Unfortunately, I didn't get to hit any of the "good" shops, but someone did recommend a pagan shop called Yellow Brick Road (near Ha'Penny Bridge, I think).  Highly recommend places like Brú na Bóinne (Newgrange) and Hill of Tara if you want to be a good little pagan tourist.

Oh, forgot this one.  Supposedly the only goth club in Dublin. http://dominion.gothic.ie/home.html

I didn't get to go, but might be worth a look see if you're into that sort of thing...  Wink

If you've never been on it before, you have to go on the Viking Splash tour!  They go around Dublin talking about history on a second world war amphibious vehicle, and you get to wear horned helmets and roar at people. Cheesy

That sounds like a lot of fun. They have a web page: http://www.vikingsplash.ie/index.htm

I have had SO many people who are travelling Europe this year ask if they can visit! My attitude is "sure, but you DO know I'm going to be living in a shoebox with my sister, right?"

And yes, I intend to keep posting. My sibling has a laptop and she told me there's a pub nearby with a free wireless hotspot. ("So... I'll be living there?" "Pretty much.") And eventually we intend to get a connection in the flat.
