OK, I hope I'm right in this folder.

Sunday I got a frame drum from the Ren Fair, we visited.
Now I'd really love to paint a motive on it, to make it more 'mine'.

I know this is done with Bodhran drums and my animal communication teacher painted horses on her shaman drum.

But before I start to just put color on it, I wanted to ask, if someone here has got experience with this? You know, the Do's and Don'ts - what kind of color (acylics?), what to take care of to not ruin the drum and so on.

The drum can not be tuned. The frame and the skin are tightly together.
The leather might be goat, don't know for sure tho'.

Thanks in advance. Smiley
