Hi Everyone!

I’ve been a long time visitor to the site and have greatly enjoyed reading all the posts. I therefore figured it was about time I actually joined!

A little about me:

Still very much finding my feet with all this but, if pushed, I would say I’m developing into a “naturalistic pantheist” who finds the Heathen Lore to be a profound poetic representation of the forces within and without.

I find myself drawn to the more historically accurate “reconstructionist” approach to heathenry, but I don’t think I could ever call myself “Heathen” as I don’t see the lore as literal in they way those of the past did.

Instead, I seem to be adopting a view that the lore is a path to a better understanding and better connection with underlying forces behind and within nature, and also within man, which inspired the poets of the past to create that lore. Personally, I’m also not a believer in the “supernatural”, but I do believe the natural to be pretty super!

As I say, still finding my feet with it all and looking forward to learning more and getting to know everyone!

Best Wishes,

Mark C.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! Most kind!

We seem to share a common view. Nice to hear from you.

That’s good to know! I’m still thinking thorough how to best express, define and explore my thinking and it’s reassuring to know that those more experienced have similar views. I also love the term “Wiccan-ish pantheistic polytheist”. I guess I could define myself as “Heathen-ish pantheistic polytheist” ... yeah, that would work!  Grin

That's a fantastic quote! Cheesy Welcome to posting at TC.

I’m delighted that you like it! Thank you for the feedback.

Thanks once again to all for the warm welcome. I appreciate it!
