I absolutely adore this phrase. <3 I think I need to make a sampler out of it or something...or perhaps a throw pillow?

Please do, and post pictures of it! Cheesy

Just curious to know if anyone "weaves" prayers, charms, etc into what they are making?  For example knitting a Bhrat while saying prayers or charms for protection, thus "weaving magic" into the fabric?  I've considered doing this, saying prayers over each row, but I haven't attempted to do so yet.

I generally think on good things while knitting or sewing, but I don't necessarily pray or chant while I'm doing it. I've been more inclined to directly attach physical charms and such. For example: I'm working on developing my own cross-stitch patterns of the runes for use around quilts or hems of clothes... Trying to get them as small as possible but still be able to tell what rune they are.  Wink Kinda pointless if it doesn't even resemble the rune

Oh good, I was hoping to find some knitting threads in here!  Like some others have said...I don't really focus enough psychically while knitting/crocheting, but I do put good thoughts into my projects, especially pagan ones.

I just finished a pentagram cloth, that I use as an altar cover.

I guess I'm a lot more free-form.  I don't feel like I have to always stitch patterns into things to have them infused with positive energy.  the stitching part still does the same for me.  If I'm trying to do something specific, mostly in quilting, then I'll work with some sort of pattern for the patchwork as well as the quilting stitches to reinforce those, but even still I tend to make up my own stuff rather than always going with ancient things.  Most of the stuff I make things for isn't for pagans, but I figure they need protections and positive thinking just as well.  I'm not going to stitch crosses into my work for them, but at the same time, if I put overtly pagan symbols in it they probably wouldn't use them.
