(I, for one, would definitely watch Cooking with Worf; I'll bet he makes a prune danish to die for Tongue).

All he'll tell me is that it involves a bloodwine marinade.

*stands up and applauds*

THANK YOU for saying this so I don't have to.  Don't get me wrong, I deeply mourn the History Hitler Channel.  I do not like this Histerical Channel (not only parasychology but a whole bunch of Doomsday/Maya Calender/Book of Revelation stuff as well) that took it's place.  I never watched either The Learning Channel nor The Freakshow Channel but I do know that the latter must be avoided except for when Joel McHale makes fun of it.  And don't get me started on A&E (no longer Artistic or Entertaining), MTV ("music?" what's that?), or Syfy (name speaks for itself).

I'll add to that applause, and maybe throw some long-stemmed roses on the stage.

When I'm sad, I stop being sad and be AWESOME instead.

I am watching the History Channels program called Ancient Aliens that explores the plausibility of Däniken's ideas.  They brought up the book Chariots of the Gods? Unsolved Mysteries of the Past by Erich von Däniken.  Has anyone read it? Have any comments on it? In short is it worth reading?  I am looking for an opinion independent of Wikipedia.

I've heard of it. I used to think that maybe...just maybe these ideas were possible but then I sat down and thought about our "own" history. Every time a more advanced culture mingles with a primitive culture the results are a disaster ( at least in most of these occurrences) for the primitive culture, whether it was intentional or not. So...if aliens mingled with us enough to build things for us and inspire our gods and myths.....I think our culture would be very different, if not destroyed somehow.

Think of the prime directive on Star Trek (I think that's it) Wink
