After Thunderbird's latest update, which I found only marginally better than their 3.0 upgrade, I've decided I am going to have to find a new email client.

I hate doing this, but I've gotten so sick of the crap I get with Thunderbird that I've got to look around. Right now, I'm on several mailing lists, so the new client is going to have to handle email lists well. Spam is a problem, so I need a pretty robust filtering system, too. I've got to also have a filtering system that will work well with multiple folders and email accounts (I've got 6 or so that come through and I need them sorted).

I know there are other priorities, but those are the biggies, I think.

Oh. And it needs to be free.  Grin

Pegasus Mail

I used it until 2004 when I switched to Yahoo Mail once the ships got internet access.

It's free.

Excellent folder filtering for lists.

Handles multiple e-mail accounts, including sending via different ones (although I never really used that feature to it's fullest).

It has a spam filter, but I never bothered, my ISP was pretty good.
