Yesterday, I went to Michael's and picked up my first yarn, a 5mm crochet hook, and a how-to book for crochet.  Today, I made my first chain stitches.  They're not great, but they're mine. Cheesy

I'm so happy I did it that I thought I'd share.

And amigurumi!

So today...my first single crochet stitching.  Cheesy  Now I can do a chain stitch and a single crochet.  The only thing I can't figure out is how to start a new row in single crochet.  Suggestions, anyone?

Chain one and turn.  Then start the next one in the stitch right in front of you.

Fantastic!  I've been meaning to do that myself, but I've got to do this knitting thing first, Smiley
