Sad Trinidad and Tobago, along with Grenada and its dependancies were put under storm watch as of 3:00pm today. We're not sure what's going on, but it seems that the system near us may just become tropical storm Tomas (or was it Thomas? they pronounced it like Tomas anyway) and the horribly still, sticky conditions before really really bad weather have started. To us Caribbean folk, overcast, stagnant and hot days are scary because they mean storms or hurricanes O.o

Any positive thoughts and prayers would be appreciated... we're watching and waiting.

Prayers that the storm is weak and passes by with little or no major damage.

Weather Underground says it's Tomas, and it looks like they're expecting him to become a full-blown (heh) hurricane - though it doesn't look like he's going to come all that close to Trinidad and Tobago.

I'll be watching the developments, and thinking about you.

Yes, it's official, he's past us by (we Trinis have some sort of dumb luck for hurricanes and the like just breeze past us, people here say 'God is a Trini' lol!). Although I am deeply sorry for Barbados and St.Kitts, they got hammered Sad It did scare us a bit when the Ministry evacuated schools early and sent home workers yesterday to give us time to prepare if need be.

Thanks a lot guys for your prayers and positive thoughts!!
