Exactly. Now, I was -born- in '76, but I don't remember ever getting more than like, two or three bucks for a tooth, and more like one when I was a child.

I was born in '68.  I got fifty cents for my front teeth and a buck for my first set of molars...even though I was old enough by then to know who was givin' me cash.

I still only give Elizabeth £1 per tooth, and she is 9 now. Personally, I think that it is plenty for a tooth!

I have all of mine.  I think thats the reason I never bought into the Tooth Fairy mythos: I got money, but the teeth never went away. 

I also have four of my cat's baby teeth.

Ok, now that's pretty impressive. Of all the cats I've rescued or cared for, I've only ever found one of their baby teeth. I think they must just swallow them.
